Christie & Co has announced the sale of Kiddies Playhouse in Walsall, West Midlands, to a new entrant into the early years sector.

Kiddies Playhouse is a large children’s day nursery with a capacity for up to 55 children.

It occupies an extensive property with large playrooms that provide ample room for children and staff to benefit from key early years education.

Located in the heart of Walsall’s town centre, the business serves both the local community and commuting parents from major cities such as Birmingham.

The setting has been owned by small group operator, Sam Kang, since 2014 and was brought to market to allow her to downsize her group to just one setting so she can semi retire.

Following a confidential sales process with Jassi Sunner at Christie & Co, it has been purchased by first-time buyer, Mr Gill.

“This opportunity to give back to the community fills me with pride, as early education is fundamental for the foundations of any child’s development, and being able to contribute to this is priceless.”

Sunner added: “With the central location and imposing property, Kiddies Playhouse was always going to attract a range of interest on the market.

“With the changes in the funding coming in this year, this nursery, in particular, will benefit based on the clientele in the locality and the business will go from strength to strength for the new owners.

“This is yet another example of a new entrant purchasing their first setting in the Midlands and we have seen an increase in this activity with sales such as Playhouse Day Nursery in Coventry. We expect the appetite to maintain at this level in the market.”

Kiddies Playhouse was sold for an undisclosed price.
