Little Cubs Academy in Honor Oak, South London

Little Cubs Academy, an established group of two premium nursery settings located in Greenwich and Honor Oak, South London, has been sold to Grandir UK, taking the growing early years provider to 89 settings across the UK.

The nurseries were founded by siblings, Rebecca and Daniel Harvey, who set out to create a brand of nurseries that they would want their own children to attend.

They acquired their first setting in Honor Oak in 2018, then seized the opportunity to expand the brand in 2019 when they found a suitable premise in Greenwich, allowing them to accommodate 122 children across the two sites.

Following a confidential sales process facilitated by Sophie Willcox and Nick Brown at Christie & Co, the business has been purchased by Grandir UK.

Nathan Arthur, head of M&A at Grandir UK, said: “Rebecca and Daniel have successfully crafted a stellar reputation providing childcare solutions to families in the local community.

“They have confidently left the nurseries in Grandir UK’s capable hands to continue to provide high-quality childcare where children will enjoy an enriched and unique range of enrichment programmes.

“The nursery teams will reap the rewards of being part of a larger group with benefits such as a dedicated resource for professional development and access to the savings, rewards, and recognition employee platform, Grand Central.”

Willcox added: “Little Cubs has an excellent local reputation for being a boutique nursery provider, focusing on the quality of education while also being a highly-profitable, successful business.

“Grandir is a great fit for the settings, and we have no doubt they will continue to thrive under the new ownership.

“This is yet another small group sale that we have brokered in 2025, with activity across London and the South thriving.”

The business was sold for an undisclosed price.
