Rope Green Farm Day Nursery in the village of Shavington, Cheshire, has been sold for the first time in 16 years.

Specialist business property adviser, Christie & Co, has announced the sale of the well-established, family-run day nursery which can accommodate up to 136 children aged between 0-5 years.

The business was established in 2009 by Victoria Dodd, a qualified and experienced primary school teacher, and sits within the grounds of her home, which boasts 100 acres of idyllic farmland.

A renovated spacious barn conversion, the nursery is surrounded by extensive countryside, offering children the space to safely explore the rural environment.

Over the years, Dodd has implemented a unique and locally-renowned childcare offering and, although it was a difficult decision, she recently decided to sell to pursue new ventures.

Following a confidential sales process with Sofia Beck at Christie & Co, Rope Green Farm Day Nursery has been purchased by expanding local group operator, Kids Planet Day Nurseries, which now owns over 200 settings across the UK.

Dodd said: “Handing over Rope Green Farm Day Nursery to Kids Planet is a significant moment for both of us.

“It has been a huge part of our lives and we are incredibly proud of what we have built over the last 15 years.

“However, we are confident that Kids Planet will continue to nurture the vision we have had for the nursery, ensuring the children and families that we care for will remain at the heart of everything they do.”

Rope Green Farm Day Nursery was sold for an undisclosed price.
