Former Newcastle bar could be sold for PBSA scheme
A former bar and restaurant in Newcastle could be converted into student accommodation after agents dropped the price to boost interest.
Christie & Co has reduced the price of Nancy’s Bordello in Argyle Street in the Manors area of the city to £499,000.
Nancy’s Bordello previously operated for over 10 years as a ‘neighbourhood bar’, catering to the area’s many students, young professionals, and local residents.
The business closed in March 2019 in line with COVID-19 measures and has not reopened.
Owner, The Apartment Group, are now selling as it continue to focus on other business ventures.
And, due to the property’s location in a high-density residential area, the agents have said it may be well suited for conversion to student accommodation subject to the appropriate planning permissions being obtained.
