Gloucestershire school gets a modern facelift
Students have moved into the newly-revamped Thomas Keble School in Eastcombe, Gloucestershire.
The secondary school has officially reopened following a £20m upgrade.
Designed by Noviun Architects, the project comprised a mix of new-build and refurbishment elements, as well as extensive improvements to the hard and soft landscaping, to meet the future needs and vision of the school, while also helping meet the Government’s net zero carbon target.
Work included:
- Demolition of existing Laingspan/Intergrid structures which had reached end of life
- The construction of a new three-storey teaching block to replace demolished accommodation
- Enhanced landscaping and parking
Known as Manor School until September 1990, Thomas Keble School was previously administered by Gloucestershire County Council and became a specialist technology college in September 2002.
The vision for the rebuild was to consolidate disconnected spaces into a single new school building linked to the facilities that were retained.
