New inclusive space for the University of Westminster
A new Inclusive Learning Enterprise Centre in under construction in central London.
Designed by ADP Architecture, the facility is being developed as part of the refurbishment of an early 20th-century building at the University of Westminster in Marylebone Road.
Located in a conservation area, the plans involve converting the building to a student-focused learning centre intended to bridge the gap between education and the business world, while prioritising accessibility, inclusivity, and sustainability.
The project includes elements ranging from greater accessibility and inclusivity to new hybrid workplace environments.
Additional features such as new levels of accommodation and roof terraces will also be installed as part of the refurbishment.
The development has also prioritised energy efficiency, with updates to the internal systems expected to achieve a 69% reduction in carbon emissions.
