Oxford’s largest Montessori provider sold to Outcomes First Group
Oxford Montessori Schools has been sold to Outcomes First Group (OFG) for an undisclosed sum.
Established in 1990 by Judith Walker and Daniel Ardizzone, Oxford Montessori Schools (OMS) is Oxfordshire’s largest Montessori organisation and one of only a handful of schools across the UK that offers a through-school, from ages two-16, with an exam centre, a non-academically-selective admissions process, a good academic track record for its pupils, and an excellent ISI school inspection result.
The purchase covers two sites, Wolvecote Montessori (to five years) and OMS’s Forest Farm, which provides a Montessori nursery, a junior, and a senior school (to 16 years).
These schools are renowned for their inclusivity, unique environment, and focus on Montessori and a modern progressive approach.
After 35 years, Judith Walker and Daniel Ardizzone decided to sell OMS and after a highly-competitive sale process with Courteney Donaldson and Jassi Sunner at Christie & Co, the sites have been sold to Outcomes First Group (OFG), a recognised leader in delivering exceptional, personalised education through a portfolio of high-quality schools in the UK and internationally.
This acquisition supports the expansion of OFG’s mainstream all-ability division, Blenheim School, which was founded to enable the group to broaden its impact and support more pupils in reaching their full potential by providing high-quality education that reflects their individual needs, learning styles, and aspirations.
OMS’s previous owners will continue to support OFG as consultants.
Walker said: “Daniel and I are very proud to hand OMS over to Blenheim Schools as we grew more and more certain that an organisation with greater resources would sustain our legacy and nurture the wonderful staff team we have developed over so many years.”
David Leatherbarrow, group chief executive at Outcomes First Group, added: “We are thrilled to welcome OMS into the group.
“With its outstanding 35-year legacy of delivering personalised, progressive education, the school’s values and vision align seamlessly with our own.
“This is a hugely-positive step forward as we continue to expand our reach and support even more pupils with the tailored, high-quality education they deserve.”
