Farthings Nursery in Chertsey, Surrey, has been sold to a first-time buyer who currently operates a successful childminding business and was looking for her first setting.

Established in 1993, Farthings Nursery is a ‘Good’-rated setting which provides term-time only care for up to 24 children.

It is located in Ottershaw Memorial Fields, perfectly lending itself to outdoor learning and play.

The setting has been owned by Hina Chandegra since 2019 and was brought to market to allow the vendor to explore other opportunities outside of the sector.

Following a confidential sales process with Sophie Willcox at Christie & Co, it has been purchased by an unnamed first-time buyer.

Willcox said: “The childcare market has been very busy so far in 2025, and we don’t see demand slowing down.”

Farthings Nursery was sold for an undisclosed price.
