After 24 years under the same management, Pitter Patter Day Nursery & Pre-school located in Wallasey, on the Wirral Peninsula in Merseyside, has been sold.

Pitter Patter Day Nursery & Pre-school is a well-established, high-quality, family-run private day nursery that can accommodate up to 100 children aged between 0-5 years old.

The business was established in 2001 by operator, Lisa Colquhoun, after successfully owning a small group of reputable day nurseries in Liverpool.

Over the years, she has implemented a unique and locally-renowned childcare offering, and, although it was a difficult decision, she recently decided to sell to pursue new ventures and the next chapter of her journey.

Following a confidential sales process with Sofia Beck at Christie & Co, Pitter Patter Day Nursery & Pre-school has been purchased by a boutique group operator that now owns 17 nurseries across the country.

Beck said: “We have had an unprecedentedly-busy first quarter in the childcare team at Christie & Co and we anticipate this high level of activity within the sector will continue throughout 2025.”

Pitter Patter Day Nursery was sold for an undisclosed price.
